These Vessels came from my desire to create a cover for a mason jars that protects the jars from breaking or clanging together while sailing on my boat.

As I discovered the different geometries in the patterns of the weavings, I became interested in the intention of use of the vessels based on the meanings in Sacred Geometry

Together with the rich history of knot tying in sailing and the mysticism inherent in sailing lore through the practice of sailing the globe and navigating by the stars, these vessels will carry you on your travels.

Mason Jars are practical, recyclable, and re-useable and can provide an alternative to paper, plastic and styrofoam cups.

Mason Jars and the Masonic traditions from which their name is shared, honor the wisdom of Sacred Geometry as the building block for meaning in architecture and design

sissy xing vessel

A friend sent me this photo of a vessel she is making from my instructions. . .  This photo tells it all! Held in front of a map of the amazon rainforest, with labels pointing to interesting intersections-- imperfect and unresolved on a glass mason jar tinted green. . .  A perfect mysterious hand reaches from a corner and the rivers of central South America flow forth as if they emanate from the vessel itself:  Hues Of orange and green and rivers of blue.  The email says, " The illustrations for all the steps were really helpful, but the bottom string is tricky! I'll keep twisting and trying to figure it out. Regardless. . . " indeed! Sissy, finishing and resolving the vessel is akin to solving the crisis in the amazon rainforest, reaching your goal of  visiting and then negotiating the twisting tributaries of the river itself.  A mighty task and a mighty river. . .  And to boot, Amazon, the largest retailer establishment in the world. . .  You can so do this!
