These Vessels came from my desire to create a cover for a mason jars that protects the jars from breaking or clanging together while sailing on my boat.

As I discovered the different geometries in the patterns of the weavings, I became interested in the intention of use of the vessels based on the meanings in Sacred Geometry

Together with the rich history of knot tying in sailing and the mysticism inherent in sailing lore through the practice of sailing the globe and navigating by the stars, these vessels will carry you on your travels.

Mason Jars are practical, recyclable, and re-useable and can provide an alternative to paper, plastic and styrofoam cups.

Mason Jars and the Masonic traditions from which their name is shared, honor the wisdom of Sacred Geometry as the building block for meaning in architecture and design

All seeing eye

With all the talk about spying by the NSA, I thought I'd do an exploration of just what message can be revealed by a code shrouded in  sacred geometry:  result:
no need to worry since the code is not apparent to the casual observer the NSA or anyone not aware
This vessel has one strand which I will call the outline. (Orange) Since the single strand resolves itself after one revolution around the vessel and it creates the shape of an eye, I will call it the eye outline.
Next, I have selected 5 (green) strands and I have placed them in a distinct pattern whereby there is a different number  of strands separating each of the green strands.  This is the "code"

Weaving the vessel yields a unique distribution of conjunctions among the green strands and I have chosen to emphasize the conjunctions by tying a square knot each time there is a conjunction.
The resulting pattern yields a distinct pattern within the outline of 25 conjunctions (5x5) arranged in a way that tells a very different story of my original intention to create  5 differing distributions.  Yet, I seem to see the differing arrangement everywhere I look in the pattern in the vessel.  The result looks like the distribution one might find when examining the branch distribution on a stick, but there is meaning in the distribution of knots.  Below is a diagram of what I found to be true.

Within the patterns of dots, the eye struggles to see patterns which reveal pictures.  What one sees is dependent on interpretation and I think it is clear that what one sees is also dependent on the code used.
