These Vessels came from my desire to create a cover for a mason jars that protects the jars from breaking or clanging together while sailing on my boat.

As I discovered the different geometries in the patterns of the weavings, I became interested in the intention of use of the vessels based on the meanings in Sacred Geometry

Together with the rich history of knot tying in sailing and the mysticism inherent in sailing lore through the practice of sailing the globe and navigating by the stars, these vessels will carry you on your travels.

Mason Jars are practical, recyclable, and re-useable and can provide an alternative to paper, plastic and styrofoam cups.

Mason Jars and the Masonic traditions from which their name is shared, honor the wisdom of Sacred Geometry as the building block for meaning in architecture and design

3-4-5 vessel

Here is a diagram for the latest vessel I am working on. It is made up of 3 red strands, 4 yellow strands and 5 blue strands. 3-4-5 is significant in sacred geometry because this is the ratio that makes a right triangle. Here I have used primary colors to denote the most primary geometric form. I find 3-4-5 primary since the sum of the numbers adds up to 12--the most geometrical figure in sacred geometry (since it makes the flower of life)

Below are the six possible combinations of a red (R) yellow (L) and blue (B) Vessel with 3, 4 , and 5 strands.  As you can see, the possible combination  become infinite when one imagines that secondary , tertiary-- and so on-- colors can be used.  The way I see it is that the sacred geometry of 3-4-5 becomes the building block of limitless combinations. . .This is to say, there is a 3-4-5 vessel  which is as particular as your DNA

Below is the second version in the series (B3, L4, R5)
As a Vessel of Intention, the pattern repeats itself after 144 conjunctions or knots.  When finished, this vessel will have 288 knots.  I like to think that these conjunctions have as much meaning as an astrological conjunction in your horoscope, or as much meaning as one of the many encounters you may have with another being (human or otherwise)
